Join us for the Installation of Rev. Annemarie Burke as our pastor by Bishop Hutterer during worship this Sunday, August 16 at 9 am.

In honor of Pastor Annemarie’s Installation, at the end of worship we will have offering plates available at the doors for a special offering to be collected for the First Call Accompaniment program, that gathers leaders within the first 3 years of ministry for additional learning.

Everyone is invited to a reception in celebration of Rev. Annemarie Burke’s installation as our pastor in our fellowship hall (Werner Heritage Hall) across the courtyard after worship.

Please sign up for one of the group gathering times with Pastor Annemarie. The purpose of gathering is to help her get to know each and every one of us. Gathering times are as follows:

Sundays @11am - grab a goodie and a cup of coffee from the fellowship hall and bring it over.

Mondays @Noon - Bring your own brown bag lunch, beverages will be provided.

Wednesdays @10am - cookies and coffee will be provided.

Wednesdays @6:30pm  - dessert will be provided.

Choose a day that works best for you from mid-August to mid-November. Gatherings will be an hour to an hour and half long in the Luther Room. The sign-up folder is on a table in the entry way. Monday, August 17 – Getting to Know You gathering at Noon in the Luther room. Sign up folder is on a table in the entry way to attend.  Bring your own brown bag lunch, beverages will be provided.

Wednesday, August 18— Getting to Know You gathering at 10am in the Luther room. Sign up folder is on a table in the entry way to attend.  Cookies and coffee will be provided.

Wednesday, August 18— Getting to Know You gathering at 6:30pm in the Luther room. Sign up folder is on a table in the entry way to attend.  Desserts will be provided.

Thursday, August 20 – Choir rehearsal at 7pm every Thursday. Chancel Choir rehearsals happen every Thursday starting August 20th. Chancel Choir needs tenors and basses! Anyone who is interested in singing is welcome to join and you don’t need to know how to read music. Email jameshiggs@beautifulsavior.net with any questions.  

Worship in the Park Nov. 8 — Save The Date!  We had such a great experience and enjoyed the food and fellowship last year, the congregation council is planning another Worship in the Park. It will be Nov. 8 at Arthur Pack Regional Park, next to Mountain View High School. Keep an eye open for details.

Dinner at The Lot on 22^nd – We will be providing the meal on Sunday, August 23. The meal will be Eegee’s, so we are asking for cash donations (in envelopes marked as The Lot) as well as small bags of chips and desserts. Volunteers to help serve the food are always appreciated. If you can help out with donations of chips or desserts or would like to volunteer, please contact Betsy Korsmo at bkozz@icloud.com or 5250-425-6713.

The Sunday Dollar$ team will be directing funds received during the months of August and September to Beautiful Savior Academy for supplies and material needed for the opening of the school year.  Every two months the team will announce one of our ministries or community outreach programs, where needs exist, to receive funds.  Any loose one-dollar bills deposited in the collection plates are for Sunday Dollar$.

Youth on Their Own – Back to School drive.  Help YOTO (Youth on Their Own) youth walk into the school year confident, prepared, and empowered!  Help support their journey towards graduation by donating any of the following items (YOTO donation bin is under the TV in the entrance area): Heavy duty backpacks, index card, notebooks, 3-ring binders, pens, mechanical pencils, full sized shampoo & conditioner, full sized body wash & body lotion, dish soap, full sized toothpaste, new bath towels, canned pasta sauce, shelf-stable milk, ramen, mac & cheese, canned mixed vegetables, toaster pastries, or soup.

Welcome into our community today as we seek to follow the one who gathers us.

We gather in the unity of Christ and are all invited to the Lord’s Table. He is the host —we are all guests. We celebrate that Jesus came to us and continues to come to us.  In faith we receive the body and blood of our Lord and Savior. We believe that he did this “for you.” We welcome ALL to Communion for it is the Lord’s Table and Jesus’s gift of grace to the world.
