What do you call home?Letter from Pastor Annemarie For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. We take a side-excursion on our walk Following Jesus on The Way to consider... Home. What do you call home? As you may know, I’ve been living in a temporary home for the last three months since I moved to Tucson. I’ve been getting settled into place here at Beautiful Savior through all your wonderful welcome and grace as I’m learning your names and faces and backgrounds and gifts and talents. And learning about our place: what’s “The Alcove” and I wonder what’s behind this door here? While on the “homefront” I’ve been staying with family while house hunting. A wonderful home but hard to feel settled when it’s temporary. This week that search is complete and I’m moving into my new home. I’ll be living just 10 minutes from our lovely church campus. I’m so looking forward to being part of the neighborhood! Which has brought to mind the sense of home in general. When do we feel at home? ......

Notes on NotesNotes on Sunday's Music - His Eye is on the Sparrow The song “His Eye Is On the Sparrow” begins with a question: “Why should I feel discouraged?” Next Is the answer: “Jesus is my portion; His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me.” And then follows the confident declaration: “I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free -- I know He watches me.” Those song lyrics are based on Jesus’s words in Matthew 6:26: “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” But our fast-paced world and its constant distractions make it so hard for us to take the time ...... For more infomation visit:

Name Your “Saint” for All Saints Day
You are invited to remember those who've gone before during Beautiful Savior's observance of All Saints' Day Nov. 1. The day is a Christian feast honoring all saints, known and unknown, who have passed into eternal life. It reflects the belief in a spiritual bond linking the living and the dead. This should be a personal remembrance for you and the church family. Beginning Sunday, Oct. 11, we will have a special cloth on which we invite you to write names of loved ones who've passed as well as the names of the living you view as saints in your life.... Jenny and TimPresentation by Tim Tarris - Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 4pm Jenny and Tim — The United States Army Air Corps, precursor to America’s military air forces, was created 100 years ago. Beautiful Savior's Tim Tarris, a retired Air Force fighter pilot, will speak about the US Army Air Corps and the 3/4 scale biplane he built to observe USAAC's 100th anniversary this year. The JN-4 "Jenny" was the basic trainer in World War I. Tim's plan was to fly the replica aircraft to all lower 48 states, arriving in Virginia July 2. His trip was cut short when strong winds lifted and crashed his plane after landing in Colorado. Tim was badly injured but recovered. He and his wife, Vicky, are completing the route in their motorhome, going to many of the planned stops. Tim will speak in the Sanctuary on the USAAC centennial and on his adventures piloting the small aircraft through mountain valleys and challenging conditions in Western states.
