We will keep the board going through Pastor Annemarie’s official installation by Bishop Deborah Hutterer during worship at 9am on Sunday, August 16.

Sunday, August 9 – Calling all singers (not just choir members) -- we need YOU in the Summer Choir for the special music for Pastor Annemarie’s Installation on August 16th! Even if you only sing at home or in the car, your voice will add to the overall sound of praise on that exciting day in the life of our church. Rehearsals will be with Becky in the choir loft immediately after worship today AND/OR this Thursday, August 13th at 7:00 p.m. (choose one or both).  The song is very singable, upbeat, and joyful -- anyone can pick it up easily, even if you don't read music!

Tuesday, August 11—Craft Day from 10am-12pm in the craft room.  Want to learn something new and be creative? The summer women's bible study group invites everyone to come and learn a new craft, enjoy fellowship, and have some fun.

Tuesday, August 11—Pint with the People at 6:30pm at Catalina Brewing (6918 N Camino Martin). Looking for real conversations about life, faith, and everything in between? Pull up a chair and join us. Whether you’re full of questions, deep in your faith, or just curious, you belong here. Bring a friend or come solo and make new ones! Thursday, August 13 – Summer Choir (men & women) rehearsal with Becky in the choir loft at 7:00 p.m.

Income is tracking very close to budget. Offerings are slightly ahead of expectations. Facility usage revenue is up, and academy income is slightly below budget. Overall expenses are currently lower than anticipated due to having a part-time interim pastor during the first half of the year, as well as several maintenance projects that have been started but not yet fully expensed because parts were delayed. While our positive cash flow is expected to decrease during the second half of the year, the budget still projects a positive year-end balance despite planned expenses exceeding income for the remainder of the year. Maintenance expenses will increase as projects are completed and the associated costs are recognized. An increase in Pastoral expenses was anticipated and allocated in budgeting for the second half of the year.

The Sunday Dollar$ team will be directing funds received during the months of August and September to Beautiful Savior Academy for supplies and material needed for the opening of the school year.  Every two months the team will announce one of our ministries or community outreach programs, where needs exist, to receive funds.  Any loose one-dollar bills deposited in the collection plates are for Sunday Dollar$.

Youth on Their Own – Back to School drive.  Help YOTO (Youth on Their Own) youth walk into the school year confident, prepared, and empowered!  Help support their journey towards graduation by donating any of the following items (YOTO donation bin is under the TV in the entrance area): Heavy duty backpacks, index card, notebooks, 3-ring binders, pens, mechanical pencils, full sized shampoo & conditioner, full sized body wash & body lotion, dish soap, full sized toothpaste, new bath towels, canned pasta sauce, shelf-stable milk, ramen, mac & cheese, canned mixed vegetables, toaster pastries, or soup.

We celebrate that Jesus came to us and continues to come to us.  In faith we receive the body and blood of our Lord and Savior. We believe that he did this “for you.” We welcome ALL to Communion for it is the Lord’s Table and Jesus’s gift of grace to the world.
