Dear Beautiful Savior,

This week we celebrate Trinity Sunday. From my musings these past five months you know I love poetry. Since no one can describe God, I give you the mystic Rumi’s poem titled “We Three” for reflection:

We Three

My love wanders the rooms, melodious, flute notes, plucked wires, full of wine the Magi drank on the way to Bethlehem.

We are three. The moon comes from its quiet corner, puts a pitcher of water down in the center. The circle of surface flames.

Meet & Greet Pastor Annemarie on Sunday, May 31 in Werner Hall after worship.

Special Congregation Meeting on Sunday, June 7 after worship for the Vote to Call Pastor Annemarie Burke.

Pastor Annemarie Burke was born and raised in Tucson and calls the Sonoran Desert home. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural and Linguistic Anthropology. Later, she followed a call to offer her love of language and diverse cultures in service of God’s mission to love and bless the world by joining Wycliffe Bible Translators. There she served as a Sociolinguistic Survey Specialist in Tanzania, traveling with a team in remote regions of the country...

Thank you to all our amazing helpers during the workday on Saturday, May 23, and to those who have continued helping with projects throughout the week.

Our wonderful volunteers have been hard at work around the Academy and in the classrooms completing many important projects, including landscaping, playground improvements, gate work and painting, and installing a new drain outside.

In the church building, new equipment was installed in the baptismal font to help prevent overflows, drywall work was completed in the narthex/gathering area, and microphones were installed toward the front of the sanctuary. Work was also done in the Memorial Garden to prepare it for upcoming upgrades.

We are deeply grateful for the time, talents, energy, and care so many of you generously shared. Your willingness to serve helps keep our campus beautiful, welcoming, and well cared for for everyone in our church and school community.

Sunday, May 31 – Meet & Greet with Pastor Annemarie Burke in Werner Hall after worship. Come meet and chat with Pastor Annemarie, our Pastoral Candidate.

Sunday, May 31 – Dinner at The Lot on 22^nd. Can you help us feed about 100 people in need of a meal? We are looking for Pasta dishes, green beans, breadsticks, and fruit cups and volunteers to serve the meal. If you can donate food or help serve, please let Betsy know WHAT and HOW MUCH. Wednesday, June 3 & Thursday, June 4 - Can you help out ?  We have a few more projects to complete.  Smartboards need to be installed in the classrooms, some more landscaping work, and painting need to be completed before our Academy starts their summer camps on June 8.  Questions or if you can help, contact Andy Anderson at 931-561-6994 or AApatriot@protonmail.com

Saturday, June 6 – Rose Molin Celebration of Life service at 10am.  Everyone who remembers Rose and her amazing paintings (like those in the front office) are invited to attend. Rose passed away on January 19, 2026.

Sunday, June 7 – Special Congregation Meeting in Werner Hall after worship, the only item on the agenda will be the Vote to Call Pastor Annemarie Burke.

We celebrate that Jesus came to us and continues to come to us.  In faith we receive the body and blood of our Lord and Savior. We believe that he did this “for you.” We welcome ALL to Communion for it is the Lord’s Table and Jesus’s gift of grace to the world.
