New Life-Everything is changingDear Beautiful Savior, Easter, like Christmas, is more than a day. It is a liturgical season, where we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus. A time where God says YES to his creation through new life, hope, and victory over death. We have shifted from the penitential focus of Lent to a time of celebration of resurrected life. Look around you, everything is changing, just ask someone who has allergies - Alleluia! To everyone who contributed to the Easter celebration, thank you, thank you, thank you. God So LovedOn Maundy Thursday, April 2, our worship team and Chancel Choir presented "God So Loved"...a musical drama as told by seven followers of Jesus." Musical selections and newly composed dramatic monologues will convey the message of God's transformative love and mercy. Call for Counters!The BSLC Counting Team is in need of Counters. The Counting role is vital to the church as we tally cash and check contributions, prepare the bank deposit, and take it to the bank. We also collect the information for the Contribution Secretary and others who need to know when a deposit is made. Counters are in a place of trust since we see checks given by contributors. We’re looking for individuals who have integrity, can keep information confidential, and are able to pay attention to detail. We’d like to add 3 to 5 more counters to our team. Counter teams consist of two counters who work together, usually on Sundays, and they finish in about an hour. Team assignments are for a full month. We also have Floaters who fill in when someone is ill or on vacation. Sunday WorshipWelcome into our community today as we seek to follow the one who gathers us. We gather in the unity of Christ and are all invited to the Lord’s Table. He is the host —we are all guests. We celebrate that Jesus came to us and continues to come to us. In faith we receive the body and blood of our Lord and Savior. We believe that he did this “for you.” We welcome ALL to Communion for it is the Lord’s Table and Jesus’s gift of grace to the world.
