Performance Reviews

Letter from Pastor Tony

9 Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it. I hope the test won’t show that we have failed. But if it comes to that, we’d rather the test showed our failure than yours. We’re rooting for the truth to win out in you. We couldn’t possibly do otherwise.

We don’t just put up with our limitations; we celebrate them, and then go on to celebrate every strength, every triumph of the truth in you. We pray hard that it will all come together in your lives. ( 2 Corinthians 13:9-10-  MESSAGE )

I love this translation of 2 Corinthians!  Paul is giving his final comments in the letter letting the Corinthians know that rather demanding proof that Christ was speaking through him they should look into their own hearts to where God’s power is working within themselves.

Looking into our own hearts is a part of our performance review process here at Beautiful Savior for our staff.  It is my responsibility along with the Council to yearly review our congregational staff. It is Becca’s responsibility along with the Academy Board to do a yearly performance review on the staff of the academy.  Before I share the typical performance review with my staff, I have asked them to complete a personal questionnaire that is a deep assessment of how each one of them feels about how they, themselves, are doing in their particular position.  It is that time of the year… these reviews are being done right now.  Pray for us as we work through this review process!

Beware of Scams

Please note that I will NEVER ask people for special purchases through email or any other platform.

It has been brought to my attention that my identity has been used to scam people on my contact list to purchase gift cards for ministry use. This is a scam.

The email they are using is not a real email address:  revantonscheer@gmail.com

Please DO NOT respond to any request from me asking for any sort of monetary aid or assistance.
This is not the first time a pastor's identity is used to gain profit from a scam.  Any time there is a person who may have influence on others is susceptible to being taken advantage of.  I apologize to anyone who may have fallen victim to this terrible scam.   If you have fallen victim please contact your credit card immediately to ask for a full refund and report the scam.

May God be with us.
Pastor Tony

Sunday Worship

Sunday Worship

9am in person and livestreamed - Sunday, July 6, 2025

Welcome into our community today as we seek to follow the one who gathers us.
May you feel a connection to the beautiful Savior in worship this day! May you join us in learning and seeking to live in G.R.A.C.E. (Generosity, Reaching Out, Advocacy, Compassion, Encouragement).

We gather in the unity of Christ and are all invited to the Lord’s Table. He is the host —we are all guests. We celebrate that Jesus came to us and continues to come to us.  In faith we receive the body and blood of our Lord and Savior. We believe that he did this “for you.”

Join us in-person, on Facebook Live at Beautifulsaviortucson, and on Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88641186563   Meeting ID: 886 4118 6563 and Passcode: 188820
