What is a Manna Bag?

Webster's Dictionary defines manna as: Food miraculously supplied to the Israelites in their journey through the wilderness. b. : divinely supplied spiritual nourishment. c. : a usually sudden and unexpected source of gratification, pleasure, or gain.

Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church provides "manna bags" to those in need of immediate nourishment and who may not otherwise have anything to eat or drink that day. We provide them to anyone who comes through the office doors asking for assistance and also on Thursdays, during our Cup of Cold Water Ministry. They are always well received and appreciated.  We encourage you to take a bag or two when you are leaving church, and offer them to those you may encounter in town. You can find them on the table in the Narthex as you enter the sanctuary.
