TIme to say Goodbye

This Sunday completes my time with you as your interim pastor. I don’t know about you but for me goodbyes are never easy.  Mary Oliver in her poem, “In Blackwater Woods” says…

To live in this world

you must be able

to do three things:

to love what is mortal;

to hold it

against your bones knowing

your own life depends on it;

and, when the time comes to let it go,

to let it go.

It has been my privilege and delight to serve you these past months and wait with you while calling your new shepherd Pastor Annemarie Burke. Finally, I leave you with two blessings:

May you always walk in beauty

May you always rest in love

May you always feel at home

May you never feel alone
