Friends,
We are excited about our upcoming session on civic engagement and helping people understand how to have their voices heard on the issue of HIV funding cuts and more. This is an important issue for all of TIHAN’s volunteers, donors, CarePartners, staff, faith communities, and partner agencies. We are grateful that so many nonprofits and faith communities have joined as co-sponsors of this event.*
Please share this information with people in your circles who care about what’s going on. Please note that this is a non-partisan event, and facilitators for this session include Dr. Alison Sutton-Ryan, Dr. Kevin Carmichael, and Pima County Supervisor Andrés Cano.
In addition to an overview of the more than $3 million in HIV funding cuts already handed down in Southern Arizona, we’ll be discussing these topics:
Whether your key issue is HIV funding, or another justice issue, I think attendees will find this helpful.
We are not publicizing the location of this event right now, just saying that it will be at a mid-town location, but we’ll send an email to people as we get closer to the event with the actual address.
An RSVP to scott@tihan.org is required in order for admission.
We do have paper copies of this flyer now available for pick up at the TIHAN office for you if you’d like. (Address and hours below)
Thanks for your help getting out the word to people who care. We appreciate you!
