This week Jesus reminds us to be light and salt.  Read these two poems and ask yourself, when was the last time I was light and salt to another person this day, week, or month?  What does salt and light mean to you?  This week try to observe salt and light experiences around you.

There is a dialogue that goes like this:

I said:  What about my eyes?

He said:  Keep them on the road.

I said:  What about my passion?

He said:  Keep it burning.

I said:  What about my heart?

He said:  Tell me what you hold inside it?

I said:  Pain and sorrow.

He said:  Stay with it.  It is the place where Light enters you.

With Salt

Love,

Let salt be in the ways of your life;

And be real with the truth, Living

according to the laws.

Life,

With the muse of salt;

leading you to speak the truth.

Love,

Tender hearted;

And, forgiving one another, Living

with the truth.
