Join the Wartburg community for an exciting 12-day tour of Germany, led by Dr. Dan Walther, the college's Gerald R. Kleinfeld Chair in German History. 

"I’m excited to share my passion and knowledge with alumni and friends of the college on this fantastic tour of Germany.

 

"We’ll explore German history and culture through its beer, wine, and historical sites. And, of course, we will visit the Wartburg Castle. Looking forward to you joining us on this amazing trip," said Walther.

After departing from the Des Moines Regional Airport, stops on the tour include:

•    Cologne and its majestic cathedral
•    The Rhine River and Marksburg Castle
•    Mainz Cathedral and the Gutenberg Museum
•    Stuttgart's Mercedes-Benz factory
•    The Danube Valley and Ulm Minster
•    Munich and nearby Lake Ammersee
•    Weihenstephan, the oldest continuously operating brewery
•    Eisenach and the Wartburg Castle
•    Farewell dinner in Frankfurt
