Happy Easter! 

New life!

Resurrection joy!!!

What does that mean?

Does it mean an opportunity to try again? You get an extra life? A "respawn" opportunity?

Or is it a time to start over?

In the Gospel of Mark, the women at the tomb fled without saying anything to anybody for they were afraid.

We know that they must have told someone, otherwise, we wouldn't be here, but why were they afraid?

The story is almost "old news" to us.  Jesus rose from the dead. We know that.  But to the women it was news to them!  That never happened before! They had to adjust what they thought they knew to be able to understand that God was doing something new!  How are you adjusting to new?

Or do you?

Do you prefer the old, even if it isn't good- just because it is familiar?  New can be scary- the women showed us that.  And we also know that new life came to them, so it can come to us.

May today be a day when you can realize the new that God is doing in and through you, and may that new life rise up in you so you may follow our Resurrected Lord into the future with hope!
