So, if Jesus came up to you today, would you recognize him? What would be your clues? Halo? Bright white clothing?
Would he look Middle Eastern?
 
What do you expect?
The ones waiting expectantly for the Messiah two thousand years ago didn't recognize them in their midst.
Why? Were they looking for the Lord in all the wrong places?
How about you? Where do you look? How do you look?
 
Jesus surprised many with who he was and how he acted. The ones who most thought they had it all "worked out" were the most upset, and the least likely to come to see him as the Messiah.
 
May we keep our eyes, hearts, and minds open to who God is and what God is about. May we see our Lord in the places he said he would be- the little, the least, the last, and the lost.
 
May we testify to the light that comes to shine the love of God.
