Tucson CROP Hunger Walk
Sunday, October 29, 2017
Help fight hunger in Tucson by participating in the Tucson CROP Hunger Walk. Last year, over $22,500 was raised by 187 walkers from twenty Tucson churches with 25% of those funds remaining in the Tucson area shared between the Tucson Community Food Bank, Casa Maria Soup Kitchen and Interfaith Community Services.
In 2016, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church raised just over $900 and had 23 registered walkers. We want to do more in 2017, so we're raising our goal to $1500. Can we do it?
Use the link below to sign up as a walker, to make a donation, or to check on our progress towards our goal.
The walk will start from the First Methodist Church located at Park Avenue & 4th Street which is near the UofA. Free parking can be found at UA Tyndall Garage on 4th St and Tyndall. Registration is at 1:30 pm and the walk begins at 2:00 pm. The walk is two miles long with two water stations. The first stop also has a restroom. The path we take is suitable for strollers, so bring your children. Dogs on leashes are welcome; just be sure you have a bag for any clean up.
CROP Hunger Walk is organized by Church World Service.
