DESCRIPTION:This course is aimed at people who would like to be able to pai
 nt\, but never dreamed they could. And it is NOT one in which everyone is 
 painting the same picture! The painting medium is acrylics\, and the subje
 ct is pets – specifically\, the painter’s own pet\, or one of a close 
 friend or family member. This adds an incentive to do one’s best\, yet l
 essens the temptation to compare (favorably or unfavorably) one’s own pa
 inting with that of another student’s. Yet more advanced artists have al
 so taken the course\, and come away with new techniques or insights. Stude
 nts should be at least 12 years old\, and I’ve had several students in t
 heir 80’s (one 92-year-old).\nA class consists of six three-hour session
 s\, two per week for three weeks\, with a maximum of five students. Painti
 ng classes start Tuesday\, September 8! These classes run Tuesdays and Thu
 rsdays\, either 9AM-12PM\, or 1PM to 4PM. A class consists of six three-ho
 ur sessions\, two per week for three weeks\, held in the Luther Room at Be
 autiful Savior Lutheran Church.\n\nCost is for materials only - $40 ($25 f
 or personal supplies and $15 for shared supplies)\, payable at the first s
 ession (sorry\, no way to accept credit cards at the current time\, but I 
 can accept cash\, check\, Venmo or Zelle).\nSubject matter\, as mentioned 
 above\, is a pet from a photo (don’t worry about background). I recommen
 d a portrait shot\, head\, shoulders and chest (you don’t need to have t
 he legs – you can\, but if you wish to paint those\, it may make the pai
 nting a little tougher). I would need the photos in digital form\, either 
 texted or emailed to me at least a couple of days before your first class
